From July 7 through August 6, the Utica City School District Athletics Department hosted its annual Summer Basketball Clinic at JFK Middle School.
The four-week clinic gave student-athletes the opportunity to stay active, sharpen their skills and build confidence on the court throughout the summer. Players participated in structured workouts designed to strengthen fundamental techniques, improve basketball IQ and develop teamwork.
Throughout the program, athletes focused on essential basketball skills, including shooting mechanics, ball-handling, defensive footwork, passing and transition play. Training also emphasized smart decision-making, spatial awareness, conditioning and sportsmanship, helping prepare participants for a successful basketball season.
Thank you to the coaches, staff and student-athletes whose dedication, hard work and enthusiasm made this year’s Summer Basketball Clinic a successful and rewarding experience.
